About Fitter:

Fitter is an engineering trade in industrial training institute. It deals with assembling, adjust, manufacturing or install of machinery or equipment.

A fitter is responsible for studying blueprints, plans, and drawings to be able to construct, assemble, manufacture, and fit parts of machines. This person is also responsible for maintaining and repairing different types of machinery.

It is a job-oriented two year duration course, which trains candidates to get a job in various disciplines like machine fitting, pipefitting, maintenance of devices, Welder-Fitter, Pipe Fabricator, Mechanical Fitter, Technical Assistant/Technician, Plant Maintenance Fitter, Lathe Machine Operator. A Mechanical Fitter fabricates, installs and repairs heavy machinery. Working to a set of precise specifications, they operate tools and machines to grind, mill and shape raw materials into the specified form, then assemble the final product.

ITI Fitter is a good course for those candidates who have an interest in machines and aspiring to gain technical knowledge on the working of parts of the machine. The demand for ITI Fitter candidates is also high because of the usage of the machine in various industries. These professionals add value to industries on a large scale.

There are mainly five subjects in ITI Fitter Course such as Fitter Theory, Engineering Drawing, Fitter Practical, Fitter Workshop Calculation and Science, Employability Skills.

After completion of ITI in Fitter Course you can go for Diploma in any Polytechnic college in 2nd year directly and after completion of the Diploma, you can go for BE/B.Tech course in 2nd year directly.

Admission Details

• Admission Pollicy
  • The Institute will admit the students strictly as per the Merit of the candidates applied for the respective trade.
  • Application will be invited from the eligible candidates within fifteen days after the declaration of results of Secondary School Certificate Examination.
  • After fifteen days, received applications are scrutinized for eligibility and documents required for admission.
  • The provisional list of eligible candidates as per inter se merit will be displayed along with list of submitted and required documents.
  • Grievances will be entertained within two days after the display of the provisional merit list.
  • Final Merit list along with schedule of admission will be displayed after accepting grievances.
  • Admissions will be done as per the schedule by accepting required documents and fees.
  • We shall admit the students purely on the merit based on the mark secured by the candidate in the public examinations based on the minimum qualifications prescribed for the respective trade only as per the maximum number of students allowed for each trade.
  • We maintain safe custody of the documents submitted by the students including birth certificates, certificates of previous Institution and deposits, if any.
• Admission Procedure
  • 1. The dates for different trades to be announced.
  • 2. Advertisement shall be carried in the local areas through paper media, miking, one to one canvassing etc.
  • 3. All the enquiries personnel and telephonic shall be recorded in the register.
  • 4. A date for interview to be announced and informed to the potential candidates.
  • 5. The faculties shall conduct interview and written test as appropriate and select requisite no. of candidates based on merit.
  • 6. While selecting the candidates the reservation criteria as per NCVT guidelines shall be adhered.
  • 7. A first list of selected candidates will be display and cut off date shall be announced.
  • 8. After cutoff first list second is released, if necessary third and fourth to be continued.
  • 9. All the selected candidates shall be registered and sent to their respective classes.
